NYC has shut down Broadway and other events in larger theaters, but the Broadway Comedy Club is open. (Click links blow for more info on schedules and discount tickets)
With our current show capacities reduced by 50% by City mandate for the next 30 days, our audience members get to experience a great Stand Up Comedy show while keeping recommended social distance. Smaller audiences also make for more intimate comedy experiences!
Our already immaculately clean clubs, which have excellent “A” ratings from the City Department of Health, are also being extra sanitized and cleaned to make sure every show is full of good, clean fun…Even if the comedy always isn’t.
Come on out to a show and let laughter be your best medicine! At the rate things are going, Stand Up Comedy is the best show left in New York!

Subscribe to this blog for line-ups and additional special deals on shows & classes just for our followers. Remember, most comedy shows require a TWO drink minimum. We only promote discount tickets to PROFESSIONAL shows with PAID talent on stage. New York is home to the BEST and WORST the world has to offer. Comedy is subjective. You may not love every comic in the shows we promote but we will NEVER send you to an amateur showcase. The comics on these shows have years of paid comedy work at clubs, colleges and events and most have appeared on TV & FILM. NYC professional comedy showcases usually feature 4-5 comics plus an MC. Typically you will love 2-3. Comedy is very subjective.

It is the brainchild of Eugene and his wife Nina who met while working together at Caroline’s Comedy Club in the early 90’s. It was an awesome time for comedy and they were there to witness some of today’s biggest names right at the beginning of their careers. (Louie C.K.; Dave Attell; Wanda Sykes; Dave Chappelle; and Jim Gaffigan), to name drop a few!
The Club is managed and booked by Gina Savage, a comedy veteran who worked at Broadway Comedy Club, Caroline’s and Comix and as a booker and manager with Barry Katz. Nina Ashe worked at Gotham Comedy Club for over 10 years and after retiring from the club, continued to use her experience from there to handle large parties and private events for Réunion Surf Bar.
Combining their years of comedy club, bar, and restaurant experience with their sheer love of stand-up and a reverence for comedians, Eugene and Nina are opening West Side Comedy Club. Their goal is to bring the fun, exciting, and sexy vibe they felt when they first started working in comedy clubs, to the cool, intimate space of West Side Comedy Club. They want to create a place where customers will love to laugh and comics will always want to perform and hang out.
Most comedy clubs around America, including many in New York, only offer professional headliners on the weekends. However a few clubs in New York run great shows seven nights/week.

Al Martin’s name is synonymous with comedy in New York City, and is responsible for launching the careers of many top comedians working today. Martin’s first venture in the comedy club business was in 1988 when he established the New York Comedy Club out of a need to help and showcase talented comedians. An accomplished comedian himself, Al was a National Headliner with numerous television credits such as The Joan Rivers Show, Geraldo and Evening At The Improv. Al was always more than just a comedian; he was an activist for the comedy community serving as Vice President of the Professional Comedians Association, and was instrumental in the organization dedicated to bringing health insurance and improving working conditions for comics. Although performing was a love for Martin he found his niche as a comedy club owner. He soon found himself helping his fellow comedians that he had once worked beside. Sarah Silverman, Lisa Lampanelli, Brett Butler, Tracy Morgan and Wanda Sykes are just a few comedians who have graced his stages over the years. New York Comedy Club became the first comedy club with two showrooms in 1997. Al was one of the first club owners to embrace diversity in the comedy world by establishing the first Latino Comedy Night at New York Comedy Club.
